simple but filled with content serves it's audience without overdoing it.
understands that not everyone is an expert and explains it's self clearly.

For the rest of the semester, we’ll be working in groups to construct a medium-scale Web site for a local group or client. What local community (on-campus or off) departments, groups, businesses, or other organizations can you think of that might need a Web site created? What type of Web site would they need?

I don't know maybe the rugby teams they just won the state championship. They would need the time for their games and photos of the current team. Scores and periodically updated.

What do you think are strategies for developing effective navigation on a site? How will you use these on your group’s site?

Hyperlinks are most effective as long as they are well labeled. Scrolling and search are possiblity. I think we'll keep it simple just linking the pages together.

Based on your reading about the qualities that Web text should have and your experiences with writing and reading on the Web, do you think that other forms of media (such as newspaper and magazine articles and books) are changing to be written more like Web writing in response to the increasing popularity of the Web? Why or why not?

Yes. I do believe that newspapers in particular have changed to become more flexible so that they can be repurposed and used on the web as well in it's paper form. To my knowledge even papers like the New York times have adjusted to the believed future that electronic forms will replace paper versions, not only putting it's articles online but offering special online only content.

i think that flexability and easy usage makes a website good.
i also think that a great look can help a web site.
but it depends on the type of website.
design is more important if what matters most is entertainment or their is heavy competition
but if it is more information based and the content matters most the look of the site is secondary.

Internet usage helps teens write

I don't think is does. Internet glances seems to be spilling into the everyday lives of AIMers everywhere. It's true we do write more but it's more like ebonics. We don't write in complete sentences. We use r and brb and lol and prolly some people are forgetting how to spell probrbly. I hear English and writing professor after professor complain about our grammar and rave about our content...... Coincidence.

i'm using some blog slanguage when i look attempt to seek out info.

it's kinda hard to find non web sources for my project on the history of the blog and where it's going but i beleive there is enough on the site fill these pages
